your vote doesn’t matter
Ok, your vote alone doesn’t matter
how many votes do matter? 10? 100?
what if we got together 100 people who didn’t believe their vote mattered. Surely there are 100 people within your district who feel the same way
now you’re part of the 100 votes that do matter. What can you do with that?
something big? Something small? I bet you can do at least something small
I think it’s clear your vote can matter. But how do we close the gap from “it can” to “it does”? At minimum, it has to be exercised. With enough people, you can guarantee it.
ok, so you’re taking a risk when you vote. A risk that it might not matter. For a chance that it does
How much does that risk cost you? 20 mins, once every two years? Thats a small cost, for a chance that your vote will matter
your vote doesn’t just automatically matter. But it’s your responsibility to make it matter
One way to do that, is to just sell it! You can sell your vote to your local politician. Just pick something important and tell them “support _ and you can have my vote”. Your vote is doing nothing otherwise, might as well sell it
